ABOUT the role_
The Senior Policy Officer will play a vital role in developing and implementing Feminists of_ ’s policy advocacy strategies. This role requires expertise in feminist theory, policy development, and stakeholder engagement. They will monitor and analyse policy developments, provide evidence-based recommendations, and collaborate with teams to integrate advocacy efforts. Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential.

Hours: 2-3 hours a week
Salary: This is a voluntary position
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement policy advocacy strategies aimed at advancing gender equality, including engaging with government officials, civil society organisations, and other stakeholders to build support for policy change
Monitor legislative and policy developments related to gender equality issues, analyse their potential impact, and develop timely and effective responses
Conduct research and analysis on key gender equality issues, including identifying best practices, emerging trends, and gaps in policy and practice
Develop policy positions, briefing notes, and other materials to support Fo_‘s policy advocacy efforts
Build and maintain relationships with government officials, civil society organisations, and other stakeholders to advance the organisation’s policy goals
Provide policy advice and support to relevant team members as needed
Collaborate with other the team to integrate policy advocacy efforts with Fo_‘s other programmatic areas, including research, communications, and fundraising
Monitor and report on the impact of policy advocacy efforts, including tracking progress on key policy goals and outcomes
