OPEN CALL for ARTISTS, DESIGNERS, CREATORS
AND ANYONE WHO WANTS A GO...
Our Unite for Afghan Women campaign aims to give people an opportunity to direct their anger, empathy, and energy into action. The crisis in Afghanistan and the unravelling of women’s rights under Taliban rule is terrifying and our campaign offers a chance to bring members of your community together through film to fundraise for an important cause, spark conversation and raise awareness.
The proceeds of this campaign will go to Women for Afghan Women, a brilliant charity that supports women and girls in Afghanistan and Afghan refugees abroad.
As part of this campaign, we are hosting a film screening and art sale in London on 29/09, and encouraging those who cannot come to host screenings of their own at home.
The ask for artists:
We are calling for artists to design art to be printed on limited edition posters to be sold at our London event (all proceeds going to Women for Afghan Women). This could be graphic design, photography, photoshop illustration, painting, screen printing, drawing, etc.
We will choose the finalists for the collection to be printed to help to raise awareness and donations for the cause.
Suggested prompts & themes for art work:
Solidarity, Unity, Women’s Rights, Action, Change, Afghan Women Strong
Each poster will be printed at A2 size (42 x 59.4cm) and at a high res of 300dpi
If your artwork is not digital, (do not worry as we want all different mediums) please photograph or scan and send as a digital file.
The deadline for submissions is 18th September 2021 at 11:59pm. Submit by sending your poster in Jpeg, Tiff or PDF format to firstname.lastname@example.org
We will get in touch by Monday 20th September to inform you if your poster has been selected.
